The growth of the middle school tennis program has reached an exciting milestone this season, reflecting four years of steady commitment and perseverance. The team proudly took the court with a full roster of 10 players at North Daviess—a significant achievement that speaks to the dedication of both the athletes, Coach Thomas and the program as a whole. Competing with confidence and determination, the team delivered its strongest performance to date in a closely contested 2-3 match. While the final score did not fall in their favor, the level of play and resilience displayed marked a clear step forward and highlighted just how far the program has come. Several standout performances showcased the team’s growth and competitive spirit. At #2 singles, Bennett Thickstun demonstrated remarkable composure and consistency, battling back from an early deficit to secure an impressive 8-6 victory. Abby Crum showed equal determination, overcoming a 1-4 deficit to rally for a hard-fought 9-7 win. On court 6, the doubles team of Lily England and Paisley Baumgarter worked together seamlessly, earning a solid 6-3 victory through teamwork and steady play. Beyond the individual wins, the match reflected a team that is learning how to compete, support one another, and persevere through challenges.
