Although the team did not come away with any first-round victories, several players showed great perseverance by bouncing back strong in second-round play. The doubles team of Eden Key and Cordelia Gilliam responded with an impressive 6–1 win, showcasing confidence and strong teamwork. Melody Perry and Abby Crum also earned a solid 6–4 victory, battling through a competitive match and finishing strong. Despite the early setbacks, the Lions demonstrated growth and grit throughout the evening. Their ability to respond, adjust, and find success later in matches is a positive sign as the team continues to develop.
