Middle School Track Team Shows Growth and Grit at Multi-Team Meet On May 14, Lighthouse Christian Academy’s middle school track team competed against WRV, Clay City, and Barre Reeve, turning in a strong overall performance highlighted by personal records and top finishes. The boys team showed depth across distance events. In the 400m, Isaac Eason placed 5th with a time of 1:08.72, setting a new personal record. The 800m saw multiple LCA runners place, led by Justus Weeks in 4th (2:33.16). Athan Connell followed closely in 5th with a personal-best 2:39.35, while Eason added another PR in 2:51.15 for 9th place. In the 1600m, Weeks delivered an impressive 2nd-place finish with a time of 5:25.61, continuing his strong season. Connell also contributed with a 4th-place finish in 5:49.68. On the girls side, Elanor Farnam led the way with a dominant performance. She captured 1st place in the 800m with a time of 2:44.14 and followed it up with another 1st-place finish in the 1600m, clocking a personal-record 5:50.86. Overall, the meet was a great display of perseverance and progress for LCA. With multiple athletes achieving personal bests and competing at a high level, the future continues to look bright for the middle school track program.
